Overview

Some seniors have unique needs.  To meet the needs of people with Alzheimer’s or other memory-support issues, we have special care residences.

If your loved one is living with memory loss such as Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, you need assistance, support, and understanding in order to have peace of mind.  Reflections offers unique, private accommodations specifically designed to be secure yet dignified and tastefully decorated.

A unique approach to preserving individuality and memory:

Our program of activities is specially designed to meet the variety of needs of those with memory impairments, such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.  We offer memory enhancement programs which are designed to respond to stimulation.  A wide variety of supervised activities all contribute to addressing the problems associated with memory loss.

Reminiscence and Music therapies are used to allow the individual to reflect upon fond memories.

Golden Pond Communities hosts a Parkinson Support Group the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:00AM.  Lunch is included.  The support group is sponsored by Florida Hospital South.

Assisted living at Golden Pond Communities offers a combination of all the character and comfort of home combined with the right amount of assistance for residents in daily routine activities.  We promote maximum independence by only providing assistance which is required or required.  Assisted living is a service which promotes each resident’s dignity and independence and encourages the involvement of family and friends.

Providing housing and healthcare services to seniors is Golden Pond Communities purpose.  A senior services company based in Winter Garden, Florida, we believe in partnering with families to care for and nurture senior family members.  It’s a mission we take seriously.  We recognize when families choose Golden Pond Communities for their loved ones, they are trusting us to care for their family members.

At Golden Pond Communities, we recognize that every person has many needs – physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional – and that good health and a balanced lifestyle are the result of caring for and respecting those needs.

Golden Pond Communities also offers support groups.  Please contact Golden Pond Communities for dates and times.

Unlike many assisted living facilities, Golden Pond Communities now offers Limited Nursing Services and provides 24 hour nursing services 7 days per week.  This not only provides additional care for our residents but facilitates their ability to age-in-place as is widely preferred by senior adults.

The Need for Assisted Living

Assisted living is a growing service.  Eighty percent of all Americans live past the age of 65.  That number is reflective of both the improvement in medical care and an increase in education of preventive health measures.  People over the age of 85 make up the fastest growing age segment.

Assisted living also provides a service to the family members of older adults.  Today, with adults having fewer children and their respective parents living longer, 30 percent of all working adults are caregivers to their parents and children at the same time.  Until recently, a nursing home was the only solution.  Assisted living provides a wonderful alternative for both seniors and their loved ones.

Family members often see a dramatic improvement in the health and attitude of their loved one after he or she moves into an assisted living residence.  Consistent, quality meals and increased social involvement are significant changes for someone who has been living alone.  If you have further questions about assisted living, please contact us for more information
